Website Reborn

I switched to a new web hosting provider and I am in the process of migrating and rebuilding the site. One click migration did not go as planned, but this gives me some time to rethink some things and hopefully make the website better.

I have a couple of projects that I hope to release before the end of 2020. I plan to release another music album and a book of short stories. I have a lot of things on my plate right now so I’m not sure I’ll accomplish both.

Thanks.

Den Hill’s PlasticMojo Album

PlasticMojo
Den Hill’s PlasticMojo

I finished mastering my album of surf guitar inspired instrumentals and published it at the end of last year. The album is available on all the major streaming services like Spotify. You can still find some of the per-mastered versions of the songs posted on Bandcamp.com and Soundclick.com. A CD version of the album is also for sale on Amazon.

I started my PlasticMojo recording project over 20-years ago. I narrowed my focus on guitar instrumentals built around the classic surf beat about 10 years ago. Some of the recordings were done on 4-track tape, but most were recorded digitally. All were recorded, mixed, and mastered in my minimal home studio.

I’v learned a lot about recording over the years and still have much more to learn. I do it for fun and I hope you enjoy my music.

Oaktop Horror: A Disturbing Tale of Terror Published on Amazon

My latest short story, Oaktop Horror, is live on Amazon.

Bill’s day started out bad and visiting his old grade school made it the worst day of his life. He should have listened to his daughter and left when he had a chance. (A short story, approximately 2000 words. Some mild language and graphic violence).

Note: This cover looks pretty abstract, but after you read the story you will understand why it’s not.

What’s New

I put my writing on hold for the past year, but uploaded a new short story tonight.  Actually, I wrote the story about a year ago, but did not publish it.  It’s called Oaktop Horror and is a tale of terror that takes place in a small town in New Hampshire.  It does not have a happy ending.  I guess I was channeling Lovecraft when I wrote it.  It might be available on Amazon on Halloween.  I’ll post a link with the cover art after it is listed.

I’m thinking about participating in NaNoWriMo this year.  Maybe it will motivate me to find my writing mojo again or at least publish more than one short story a year.

Hope you like the new web site design.  I created all the art and took all the photos that appear in the background.  Please let me know what you think about it.

Still mastering my Plastic Mojo project surf guitar record.  You can listen to some of the rough cuts here.

Will post again as soon as I can (with any luck before next October).

Thanks for your support.

Silver Creek Published On Amazon

SilverCreekCoverSilver Creek, my latest short story, is live on Amazon.

Can aging Allen Abbot find peace in a ghost town? A surprising tale of hope set in the weird west.  With a little magic, a western doesn’t need a gun fight.

Note:  the cover photo is based on a photo I capture while traveling through the American Southwest a couple of years ago.

Thanks and I hope you like the story.

Redesigned Cover For War Dead

War_Dead_Cover2Updated War Dead’s cover.  It looks more professional than the original cover and matches the design aesthetic of my upcoming releases.

I plan on releasing two short stories this month; Silver Creek a weird western and Fred-5 a dystopian tale.

Hope you like the new cover.  Please comment on what you think about it.

Thanks.

War Dead: A Joe Weird Adventure Published On Amazon!

War_Dead_CoverWar Dead is the first of several short stories I plan to publish over the next few months.

Joe Weird is the main character.  The story takes place in France during World War One.  It’s 1916 and the United States has not yet entered the war.  Joe is a young American volunteer  ambulance driver, but by the end of the story he is transformed into a pulp action hero.

If you like tales of action, adventure, and supernatural horror you’ll most likely enjoy War Dead and future Joe Weird Adventures.
